(Posted 12/08/2019) Criminal Law Expert - Conditsis Lawyers

We are an established law firm, with satellite offices in Newcastle and Sydney and our head office at Gosford, with a total staff of 25, including 10 lawyers.

We are now in the process of establishing and staffing our Newcastle office and are looking for an experienced criminal lawyer to head our Newcastle criminal law team. We would expect that the applicant we are looking for will have at least 5 years extensive criminal law experience, at a minimum.

As criminal lawyers we are somewhat unique in that, the directors, Manny Conditsis and Michal Mantaj, are trial advocates and regardless of the seriousness of the charges, they appear as advocates from the local court all the way up to the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court.

The successful applicant may not be a trial advocate but will aspire to run his/her own trials in due course. We are looking for someone who is highly competent, hard-working, determined and with the capacity to organise and manage the practice and particularly, the applicant will be keen to grow the Newcastle firm. To the extent required you will be mentored by the directors, both accredited specialists in criminal law.

Whilst it is envisaged that, primarily, the court work will be in the Newcastle area, the successful applicant should expect he/she will be required to travel from time to time, including to Gosford and Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and energy to join a vibrant and growing, technology equipped, law firm with enormous potential for professional growth.

The salary/income package will be commensurate with the high calibre person to take the Conditsis brand forward in Newcastle.
