Complaints Process
If you have a comment or issue to raise regarding a local solicitor you should be aware of the following:

The Newcastle Law Society has no formal complaints handling and or resolution function or role.

Formal written complaints need to be addressed to either the New South Wales Law Society Professional Standards Department at 170 Phillip Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (Ph: 9926 0333) or the Office of the Legal Services Commission at 8-12 Chifley Square, Sydney NSW 2000 (Ph: 9377 1800 or 1800 242 958).

The Newcastle Law Society has a help line which is staffed by local solicitors on a voluntary basis. Contact can be made during office hours on 4925 2849.
